We were here for 2 weeks so we rented a car which I scored from for only $15 per day, so camping and car less than $25!!! We were 12 miles from downtown New Orleans.

They have very nice bathrooms, but it is a nature reserve and I had to send my husband in to clear out the little frogs and geckos before I could shower as I am scared of them. We stayed at nearby Bayou Senette State Park and with National Park pass, electric/water hookup was only $9 per night.
